0656 FLOOR SANDING AND FINISHING - OIL SYSTEM
1. GENERAL
1.1 Scope
Supply and application of a penetrating / modified plant-based oil finish to prepared timber floors. The finish shall be Bona Oil-Modified Sport Poly (oil-modified polyurethane (solvent-borne)).

2. PRODUCTS
2.1 Oil finish
Product: Bona Oil-Modified Sport Poly.
Chemistry: oil-modified polyurethane (solvent-borne).
VOC: <450 g/L g/L.
Colour: as per architect's selection from the manufacturer's colour chart (Bona Oil-Modified Sport Poly Colour Chart PDF).
Mixing (where 2K): per manufacturer ratio; pot life observed strictly.
2.2 Substrate compatibility
Substrate not nominated; verify species compatibility against the Bona species x primer matrix before tender.
3. EXECUTION
3.1 Preparation
Final sanding P120 maximum (oversanding prevents oil penetration). Vacuum thoroughly. Do not water-pop unless specified by the product TDS.
3.2 Application
Apply per TDS at (refer to TDS) m2/L per coat using buffer, red-pad or stainless trowel per TDS. Work wet-on-wet within the open time stated on the label. Buff to an even sheen; remove all excess oil to prevent surface tack.
3.3 Cure and handover
Light use after 2-4 hours. Full use after 24 hours minimum. Full cure (for floor coverings and heavy traffic) after 7 days. Do not wet-clean within 14 days.
3.4 Slip resistance
Where specified: not tested / refer to TDS per DIN 51130 ramp test. Refer to attached test report PDF.
