Bona lists the following substrates for Bona Mega ONE: hardwood-generic, engineered, pine. Substrate choice drives primer selection and first-coat coverage. Tannin-rich species (e.g. Blackbutt, Spotted Gum) can require a sealer primer to prevent bleed-through on waterborne topcoats.
