Can Bona Classic be used on Jarrah?

Bona does not explicitly address the combination of Bona Classic on Jarrah. Jarrah is classified medium-high tannin.

Bona Classic TDS names only Blackbutt and Tallowwood in its explicit do-not-use list; Jarrah is a dark high-pigment timber so Intense is preferred, but Bona does not categorically exclude Classic on Jarrah. Trial application recommended.

The conservative default is to follow Bona's general primer-selection logic:
• For high-tannin or dark hardwoods: specify Bona Intense.
• For softwoods and parquetry: Bona Classic is particularly suitable.
• For a whitewashed look on pale hardwoods: Bona White is the intended primer.
• Under Bona Traffic HD Raw: use Bona Classic UX.

A trial application is essential whenever the matrix status is 'unlisted'.
