This is one of the easiest species to recommend when a client wants a lighter Australian hardwood that still feels properly solid and timeless.

Best for: Best for modern homes, lighter interiors, and customers wanting a less busy grain.

Blackbutt has good fire resistance and is one of the better-known native species used where bushfire performance matters.
